Personal Introduction
My name is Hương, and I have been working as a local tour guide in Northern Vietnam for the past two years. I enjoy sharing the culture, history, and everyday life of Vietnamese people with travellers from around the world. Fluent in English, I always try to make every tour feel like a journey with a friend rather than a traditional guided tour, creating relaxed and memorable experiences for my guests.
Hanoi · In Their Words
- Favourite Hanoi Food
- Bún Chả is my favourite Hanoi dish. The combination of grilled pork, rice noodles, fresh herbs, and flavourful dipping sauce perfectly represents Hanoi's food culture. I also love Egg Coffee, especially on a cool morning in the Old Quarter. When introducing guests to Bún Chả, I always encourage them to enjoy it the local way, with garlic, chilli, fresh herbs, and crispy spring rolls on the side.
- Favourite Place in Hanoi
- Hoan Kiem Lake is my favourite place in Hanoi. Beyond its beauty, it reflects the rhythm of daily life in the city. In the early morning, local residents gather for exercise and tai chi, while evenings bring families, couples, and visitors together. Combined with the legendary story of the turtle and the magical sword, Hoan Kiem Lake remains one of the most special places I enjoy sharing with travellers.
- Favourite Local Experience
- I love introducing travellers to Hanoi's local markets, whether at Đồng Xuân Market or smaller neighbourhood markets. Exploring local produce, tasting seasonal fruits, and observing everyday interactions offers a genuine glimpse into Vietnamese life. I also enjoy sharing food experiences with local families, where travellers can learn how traditional dishes such as Bún Chả or Phở are prepared and enjoyed at home.
