Early in the morning, when Hanoi begins to wake up with the sounds of street vendors and motorbikes weaving through the narrow streets, our small group gathered to begin their adventure in the Old Quarter.

Catharina, Burak, Sonia, Timo, and Denise came from different parts of the world, but their curiosity about Hanoi quickly brought them together. With the friendly guidance of Mint (Thao), the group started their journey near The Statue of the Fallen Heroes, learning about the historical spirit that shaped the city.

Walking toward Ngoc Son Temple, the guests crossed the famous red The Huc Bridge, one of Hanoi’s most beloved landmarks. The calm atmosphere of Hoan Kiem Lake offered a peaceful contrast to the busy streets nearby.

The tour continued into the vibrant maze of the Old Quarter. Along Ta Hien Street, known as Hanoi’s famous Beer Street, the group discovered stories about local nightlife, street culture, and the social life of Hanoi’s young generation.

A short walk later, they reached O Quan Chuong, the last remaining gate of the ancient city walls. Standing beneath the old brick archway, the guests could imagine how Hanoi once looked centuries ago.

One of the most fascinating moments of the morning happened inside Thanh Ha Wet Market, where locals buy fresh seafood, vegetables, and daily ingredients. For many travelers, this is where the real Hanoi reveals itself — lively, authentic, and full of character.

The group then explored the bustling Dong Xuan Market, the largest traditional market in the Old Quarter. The colorful stalls, local products, and energetic atmosphere offered a glimpse into everyday life in Hanoi.

Finally, the walk reached the iconic Long Bien Bridge, a historic iron structure that has connected the city for more than a century. From the bridge, the guests admired the view of the Red River while capturing photos and videos to remember their experience.
