Chipotle Ketchup & Chipotle Mustard

Chipotle Ketchup

  • 225 ml/8 fl oz prepared tomato
  • ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 h tsp chipotle powder, or to taste
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • salt

Chipotle Mustard

  • 125 ml/4 fl oz Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp chipotle powder, or to taste
1. For the ketchup, combine all the ingredients with salt to taste in a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook, frequently stirring, for 5 minutes, or until the ketchup is slightly thickened. Remove from the heat and cool. Bring it to a sterilized jar, cover, and refrigerate until ready to use.
2. To make the chipotle mustard, place the ingredients in a small bowl and stir to combine thoroughly. Transfer to a sterilized jar, cover, and refrigerate until ready to use.
